About me

Hi, I’m Sara, founder of Vitae Balance Health Coaching.

I understand how easily our own wellbeing can slip down the list when life is full of work, family and responsibilities. I help busy women feel more energised, balanced and in control of their health and wellbeing through small, sustainable habit changes that fit real life and family life.

My approach is holistic and evidence-informed. We look at the interconnected areas that shape everyday health — including nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, breathwork and nervous-system support — rather than focusing on one isolated symptom or relying on restrictive plans and quick fixes.

Alongside my health-coach training, my background in academia and research has taught me to listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions and engage critically with evidence. I bring that same thoughtful, evidence-aware approach to coaching, while recognising that wellbeing is personal and there is no one-size-fits-all answer.

Together, we create practical, realistic changes that support your health within the realities of your own life, responsibilities and family setting. Vitae Balance is a warm, non-judgemental space to reconnect with yourself and build habits that help you feel more like yourself again.

My path to health coaching

My path to health coaching hasn't been a straight one. My professional background is in law and academia, and over the years I have worked across the private sector, European institutions and universities. Alongside that career, however, I have always had a deep interest in health, nutrition, movement and holistic wellbeing.

That interest began early. Growing up with a doctor as a father, and experiencing my mother's cancer diagnosis when she was still in her late forties, made me aware from a young age of how precious our health is. At fourteen, I discovered athletics. I was never the person winning the races, but that didn't matter. Training with a welcoming group taught me how powerful movement can be — not just for physical health, but for resilience, confidence, connection and the simple satisfaction of doing something you once thought you couldn't.

My curiosity about different approaches to wellbeing grew during my final year at university, which I spent as an Erasmus student in Germany. Friends introduced me to vegetarian food, yoga, meditation, Qi Gong and other practices that encouraged me to think about health more broadly — as something influenced by how we eat and move, but also by how we breathe, rest, manage stress and connect with ourselves and others.

Years later, becoming a mother of two while pursuing a demanding career and moving countries several times gave that interest a very different perspective. I discovered first-hand how difficult it can be to “do all the right things” when work, children, family life and everyday responsibilities are competing for the same limited time and energy.

My own health challenges prompted me to explore my wellbeing more deeply, with the support of different health professionals and through nutrition, movement, breathing and meditation. Over time, one lesson kept coming back to me: our health is shaped to a remarkable degree by what we do repeatedly. Yet knowing what would help us and actually making it part of everyday life are two very different things.
That insight eventually led me to train as a health coach.

I don't approach health from a place of perfection. I am on this journey too. I continue to work on my own wellbeing through small, intentional habits around movement, nutrition, sleep, breathing, stress management, time in nature and meaningful relationships.

That is at the heart of Vitae Balance. I help busy women regain greater control of their health and wellbeing through small, sustainable, evidence-informed changes that fit their lives and families — rather than expecting their lives to fit around an idealised version of health.

Because better health isn't about doing everything perfectly.

It is about finding the changes that matter to you, making them achievable, and building on them

— one sustainable step at a time.

Methodology

The Vitae Balance Method

Small changes.

Strong foundations.

Sustainable wellbeing.

The Vitae Balance Method is my holistic, evidence-informed approach to helping you build healthier habits that work in real life. Grounded in my professional health-coaching training and developed through my own practice, it recognises that our wellbeing is shaped by many interconnected parts of our lives — and that lasting change rarely comes from trying to change everything at once.

The method brings together two interconnected layers of wellbeing:

Vitae Foundations

The essential everyday habits that provide the foundations for our health, energy and resilience.

Vitae Flourish

Practices that build on and complement those foundations, helping us cultivate greater balance, resilience and connection.

The two layers are interconnected rather than a rigid sequence. Everyone starts from a different place. You may already have strong habits in some areas while finding others more challenging. Together, we focus on what matters most to you now.

Because improving your wellbeing doesn't have to mean changing your whole life overnight. It means finding the small changes that work for you and building on them — one sustainable step at a time.

The philosophy is simple:

build from strong foundations, while starting where you are.
